Checkers is a fun board game where two players try to outsmart each other using red and black pieces. Each player starts with their pieces lined up on the dark squares in the bottom three rows of the board. The difference between checkers and chess is the way the pieces move; in chess, each piece moves differently, whereas in checkers, all pieces move diagonally.
In this checkers game, the computer’s difficulty level goes up to 12. If you’re good at checkers, try playing against the computer at level 12. You can also play head-to-head against a friend. Other features include a rotate function and hints if you’re unsure of your next move.
If you don’t know how to play checkers yet, here’s the basics: on the board, there are pieces that can only move diagonally forward one space at a time. If an opponent’s piece is next to one of your pieces with an empty square behind it, you can jump over and capture it, and sometimes you can chain these jumps together to create big combos. When one of your pieces reaches the opposite side of the board, it becomes a King, meaning it can move diagonally forward or backward.
